Thonet Bentwood Stool
A 1930’s adjustable Thonet Bentwood Stool with leather seat. This is much higher than the usual adjustable Thonet stools which were normally used for pianos.
It would have been either made at the Thonet factory or under licence in the early half of the Twentieth Century.They were made from beech which was steamed and then bent to shape.
The original finish has worn off and the seat has been recovered with leather ( conforming to fire regulations). The stool is very solid and stable and the mechanism works perfectly.
The height of the seat can be adjusted between 70 cm and 80 cm.
