Huge Philips Globe
A Huge Philips Globe measuring 70 cm high circa 1970.
This 19″ (48 cm) diameter Terrestrial Globe is the largest table top model made by George Philips and Son of London (founded 1848).
It is constructed of two joined aluminium hemispheres joined and covered in paper.
The base is finished in black with an aluminium arm.
Overall it is in very good condition with one or two marks.
A really imposing piece, we have pictured next to a stack of lawyers ledgers to show the scale.
